PEGASUS Juniors will host Wellington next Tuesday in an early derby match in West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.

The encounter at Old School Lane will see new Pegasus striker Josh Hunt face his former side, while Adam Newbury and Ash Lear are set to start for Wellington.

Newbury initially joined Pegasus in the close season before returning back to Derek Williams' side.

Prior to the derby, Wellington go to Ellesmere Rangers, while Pegasus are home to Willenhall Town.

"Everything is going fine, although we've had a couple of injuries – probably too many for pre-season," said Williams.

"Gareth Thomas has come back, but has done his knee, while Will Perkins has injured his ankle.

"Adam Newbury is back though, which is the main thing."

One player who could step into Hunt's shoes is Nick Britton, who scored a hatful of goals for the reserves last season.

However, Britton missed last Saturday's 1-0 win over Boldmere St Michaels after pulling a muscle.

A Ben Thomas header won the game for Welly, but the villagers lost 2-1 at home to Pershore Town on Tuesday night; Perkins netting Wellington's goal.

Pegasus beat Caersws 2-0 in their final pre-season game last Saturday thanks to goals from Ben Price and Kyle Panniers.

Meanwhile, new Bromyard Town manager Graham Glenister says he is not making any predictions as his side start life back in Division One this weekend.

Town had a torrid end to last season's campaign in the Premier Division, resulting in manager Nick Smith leaving the club and Town failing to fulfil their final two fixtures.

But Glenister says Delahay Meadow is now a much happier place and wants his young team to enjoy themselves.

"No one will be paid an extortionate amount of money – they will get paid the same whether they are on the bench or have scored a hat-trick," said Glenister.

"I'm just going to see how it goes – the lads have got a lot of potential but they are young.

"I'm not going to make any bold predictions, the main thing is that the players enjoy themselves."

Bromyard's first game is at home to Wyrley before they travel to Newport Town next weekend.

Kington Town, meanwhile, go to St Martins on Saturday, with their first home match being against Wem Town.
