FOOTBALLER Paige Williams has secured a place in Birmingham City’s Under- 13 team for next season.

The 12-year-old striker was the leading scorer for Bartestree Harriers last term.

Paige’s mum, Katie Farr, is delighted with her daughter’s selection but will now be standing down as a manager at Bartestree Harriers.

Paige, from Whitecross, started playing football at Hinton, aged eight, and impressed in two trials for Birmingham City.

Katie also used to play football, firstly in the army and then at Pegasus Ladies.

“Bartestree Harriers’ welfare officer Donna Conway put forward Paige for the trials,” said proud mum Katie.

“It means that I now won’t be able to manage Bartestree because I will be driving Paige to Birmingham and all over the country.”
