Pegasus Ladies bag Three Counties League title

PEGASUS Ladies second team wrapped up the Three Counties league title in comprehensive fashion after thumping hosts, Ledbury Town ladies 5-0.

In a dominant performance, Sarah Bishop and Heather Troth both scored twice while Courtney Bowkett also got on the scoresheet with a fine finish.

Afterwards, Bowkett said the title triumph was a culmination of all the hard the work the team and club have put in since starting at the beginning of the season “It’s brilliant to win the Three Counties title in the first season we’ve played together,” she said.

“We are lucky to have such great management and club behind us and we are also extremely grateful for our sponsorship from Play Night Club and The Hop Pole.“ Bowkett was also pleased with how the whole season and said that there was enough quality in the side to continue the progress in which the team has made.

“We’ve had a fantastic season dominating and winning the games we’ve played in the league and cup,” said Bowkett.

“Even against the more difficult teams like Worcester City who were challenging as well, we’ve shown how good we are.

“We’ve managed to hold a good backline and built on that to attack.

“It is just great that we have still have a ladies’ team with some really amazing players.”
