HEREFORDSHIRE FA rounded off their campaign in the Midland Counties Youth Championship Under-16 with three home defeats.
Despite a good performance from Liam Brewer, Herefordshire crashed to a 5-0 defeat against Lincolnshire.
England Under-18 schoolboy Tom Siddons put Lincolnshire ahead and Jack Pemberton put the visitors 2-0 ahead before half-time.
Herefordshire’s best player, Scott Walker, was unfortunate to concede an own goal before further strikes from Pemberton and Danny Langford completed the rout.
Nick Aldrich and Nick Evans both went close to pulling a goal back but Lincolnshire were faster and more skilful than the hosts.
Herefordshire failed to convert three simple chances in their match against Derbyshire and slipped to a 1-0 defeat.
Ashley Dale scored the crucial goal just before half-time, while Sam Critchard had a fine game for Herefordshire.
In their last match, Herefordshire were outclassed by an excellent Birmingham side who cruised to a 4-0 win.
Herefordshire’s goalkeeper, Matt Gwynne, was outstanding for the home side and made a string of brilliant saves.
