EWYAS Harold manager Malcolm Watkins says Tuesday's HFA County Challenge Cup match against Hereford will be the biggest in the club's 121 year history.

The villagers have had to get through two penalty shoot-outs to reach the semi-final stage and the winner's will face either Wellington or Hereford Lads Club in the final.

"Since the draw has been made the excitement has continued to build locally and we are very much hoping there will be a good gate," said Watkins.

"The fixture will be enjoyed by our loyal supporters as much as it will be by the players and management team and they deserve the opportunity to see their team at Edgar Street.

"Many clubs locally have had the opportunity to play Hereford FC since its formation and we were very much hoping that our opportunity would come especially in a competitive fixture.

We have a good local squad many of whom have played together for a number of years and thoroughly deserve their chance to play in the highest profile game Ewyas Harold have been involved in since its formation in 1897.

"I want our lads to enjoy the occasion which undoubtedly will be an extremely challenging evening but one that we will remember for a very long time."

Ewyas Harold are vying to win HFA County League Premier Division.

"We are going into the fixture with our eyes wide open and no matter what the result we must retain our focus for the remainder of the season on challenging for the Hereford County League Premier Division," added Watkins.
