WELLINGTON manager Gary Stevens was pleased with his side's performance after they thumped Pegasus Juniors 4-0 un West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.

Two goals from Paul Jones saw Welly home, with Andy Price and Josh Hunt also on target.,

Stevens' side even had coach Jon Pugh in goal for the game due to Matt Eden being ill.

"We couldn't get our second team keeper in so had to play, so played Jon and we did a good job," said Stevens.

"It was more about the performance than the result, we played much better than we have done in our previous few games.

"Once we got the first goal, we relaxed a bit more and scored two early goals in the second half.

"Paul Jones has been scoring a few lately, but Josh Hunt also got one.

"He hadn't scored for the last couple of games, so that would have perked him up a bit."

Wellington have another local game ton Wednesday when they got to Hereford Lads Club.

The latter go into the game on the back of a 2-0 home win over Dudley Sports.

Meanwhile in Division One, Kington Town went down 3-1 to Newport Town, while Bromyard Town beat Team Dudley 2-1.
