HEREFORD defender Dan Preston hopes he has given manager Pete Beadle a selection headache so he can face his former club this weekend.

Preston has struggled to force his way into the Bulls backline after joining the club at the end of August, although he did start against Dunstable Town on Tuesday.

This Saturday, Hereford host AFC Telford United in the first round of the FA Cup and Preston is confident the Bulls can cause another upset.

"I was there previously for three seasons and then I came back last summer," said Preston, who was on loan at Hereford United between 2010 and 2011.

"It didn't work out for me, but I know the club very well.

"It's a totally different squad to when I was there, but knowing the gaffer, he gets them very organised and working hard.

"There''s a lot of young lads there, so they will come out of the blocks at us.

"They've picked up a bit of form, so it will be a tricky one, but I'm confident with the lads we've got here that we can win.

"Beating Eastleigh proves what we're capable of and I'm 100% confident we're capable of beating Telford on Saturday.

"It was a massive club when I came here before so I know what it's about.

"Playing in front of these fans gives you an extra bit of motivation, so it was a no brainer to come here when I got the opportunity.

"But the lads have done well here, so I've just got to bide my time and when I do have my opportunity, to take it.

"I thought I did ok on Tuesday, although I still don't feel 100%.

"But I just want to have the chance and make it hard for the gaffer to make a decision.

"There's a lot of competition all over, we've got a very good squad here."
