PEGASUS Juniors have climbed up to fourth from bottom in West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division after a vital 2-1 win at Smethwick.

Goals from George Andrews and Kyle Panniers won the game for Pegasus after Tarryl Davis had equalised for Smethwick.

The win has given Pegasus a much needed boost ahead of a tough away game at fifth-placed Malvern Town this Saturday.

Hereford Lads Club also bagged a good win and avenge their FA Vase defeat to Stone Old Alleynians.

Danny Moon's team won 4-2 with the win leaving them in 10th place.

Lads Club opened the scoring when Richard Hewitt diverted the ball into his own goal.

Stone equalised through Jack Tomlinson, who drilled the ball home after Adam Pope's free-kick was only half cleared.

However, Lads Club regained the lead when Ashley Lear got on the end of Adam Hockey's cross before Hockey extended his side's advantage 10 minutes after the break.

Jack Tomlinson reduced the deficit for the home side, but Lads Club made sure of the points when Kalum Wildig fired home after Stone failed to deal with a free-kick.

This weekend, Lads Club go to Wolverhampton Casuals.

Wellington were also winners, with Luke Griffiths' goal enough to beat Cradley Town.

Gary Stevens' team – who are away at Dudley Town this Saturday – are in 11th place, but have games in hand on all of the sides above them.

In Division One, Stuart Jones' first game as sole manager of Kington Town ended in a 3-0 defeat at Allscott.
