MIDFIELDER George Andrews admits it could take a long time for Pegasus Juniors to click this season.

Andrews is part of a young team this season who are managed by Mick Panniers.

However, Pegasus have lost their opening three games in West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division, including a 6-1 hammering at Wellington on Saturday.

"We put as much effort into as we could but we got over-run massively again, but it's a work in progress," said Andrews.

"We're a young side and we'll get there.

"Transition does take a long time, it won't just come in the next week, it might not even come in the next month.

"But if we keep working at it, one day it will click.

"It might not be this season, it might be next season, but we've got to keep at it."

Andrews – who scored for Pegasus on Saturday – conceded his team were outrun by Wellington.

"Against senior players it's about physicality and we got outmuscled in some places and outrun, mostly in midfield," he said.,

"It's hard to say when you play there, but the truth hurts.

"The second goal came out of nothing, he cut inside and had a lovely shot.

"It was a great goal, but was a sucker punch and we lost it after that and our heads went down.

"In the second half we did start to rebuild but it was too late."
