WESTFIELDS and Hereford Lads Club both had comfortable wins in pre-season friendlies last night.
Westfields hammered Pegasus Juniors 8-1 to win the Dennis Hartland Memorial Trophy, while Lads Club saw off Presteigne 4-0.
Pegasus had a number of youngsters turn out for them, while former Hereford Under-18 manager Adam Jones was in goal.
Westfields stormed into a 6-0 lead by half-time and never looked in trouble.
Richard Greaves and Aidan Thomas both netted twice, while Alex Hainault, Sam Plane, Anthony Robbins and Chris Ham were also on target for Sean Edwards' side.
Meanwhile, James Fennessy and Ash Lear scored twice for Lads Club in a routine win over Presteigne.
