A WALKING Football Festival will be held in Hereford later this month to raise awareness for the sport and money for charity

As part of a national initiative Herefordshire FA are hosting the event in partnership with the Bobby Moore Fund, raising money to help tackle bowel cancer.

The event is taking place on Sunday, July 9, between 10am and 12.30pm on the 3G pitch at Hereford Sixth Form College and is open to all players over the aged of 18.

Men and women of all abilities are encouraged to attend.

Walking football is suited for those looking to get back into football, recovering or suffering from injury or illness, or just looking to socialise and take part in something new.

Entry costs just £5 per player and all of the entry fees and money raised will go to the Bobby Moore Fund.

HFA will also be running a raffle (prizes including an England shirt signed by Gareth Southgate) to raise further money and players/teams will receive a fundraising pack once registered to help them raise additional money.

You can enter as an individual or as part of a team.
