HEREFORD FC duo Jimmy Oates and Rob Purdie have been named in a non-league team of the season following votes from supporters.

Oates led the Pitchero Non-League site's poll for the defenders, landing 38% of the overall votes, with stating that he formed the mainstray of the impressive Hereford backline.

The website also noted that Bulls manager Pete Beadle recently confirmed that Oates was the only player in the club’s squad that had a contract, as reported by the Hereford Times.

Meanwhile, Purdie took 40% of the midfielder vote over his seven rivals to be named in the XI, with the site saying: "Purdie has led from the front this season, helping his club secure promotion back into the Premier Division of the Southern League."
