HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle has confirmed he is in talks with a full-back as he looks to replace captain Joel Edwards.

Beadle is hopeful of signing the new player immently, while three other players have been offered deals.

"I've spoken to one who I'm really keen so I will wait until he makes up his mind," said Beadle.

"I've had an abundance of calls from players that want to come here and I've spoken to some of them.

"We've offered deals to five of them and one [Lance Smith] has accepted.

"Four others are considering what we've offered and I'll be delighted if we got them on board."

Meanwhile, Beadle said he wouldn't be surprised if Tristan Plummer left the club after being offered deals elsewhere.

The winger is currently considering his options, along with Pablo Haysham.

However, Mike Symons has agreed to stay at Edgar Street after considering his offer overnight.

"Tristan never really got 100% fit and never stayed on for long periods of play," said Beadle.

"He could never play the full 90 minutes because he would have a tight groin or hamstring.

"It's tough when you're playing catch-up after not being fully fit, but he has an abundance of ability .

"Him and Jimmy [Oates] on the right were a good partnership with Jimmy's energy.

"I will be disappointed if he moves on, but if he does, then that's his prerogative."

Beadle added that no club has come to him to an express interest in Haysham and only Jimmy Oates is under contract.
