HINTON are closing in on the HFA County League Premier Division title.

The city based side thrashed Leominster Town 6-1 last Saturday and are now nine points ahead of Tenbury United.

Tenbury have two games in hand, but can ill afford to drop points at Ewyas Harold this weekend, especially if Hinton beat Hereford Lads Club Reserves.

Matt Evans netted a hat-trick for Hinton, with Mike Marsden, Luke Semple and Steve Cuss also on target.

Elsewhere, Nick Britton scored four goals for Wellington Reserves in their 5-2 win at Ledbury Town.

The race for the Division One title has heated up after Tenbury Town could only draw 2-2 against Wellington Colts.

However Tenbury will clinch the title tonight if Kington Town Reserves lose to Ludlow Colts.

Kington, who are 10 points adrift of Tenbury with three games in hand, claimed their seventh win in row last weekend thanks to 3-1 win against Woofferton.

It is also tight at the foot of the division, with three points separating ninth-placed Hinton reserves and second-from-bottom Fownhope Reserves.

Hinton drew 1-1 with Ludlow Colts last Saturday.

Elsewhere, Weobley beat Hereford City 4-3, while Ewyas Harold Reserves drew 2-2 with Ledbury Town Reserves.

Burghill Rangers have won the Division Two title after beating Weston 4-3.

Ryan Daw netted a hat-trick for Burghill, with Nathan Collings also on target.
