HEREFORD Lads Club goalkeeper Steven Bell conceded his team 'didn't turn up' against Kington Town.

Lads Club secured promotion last week and a win against the bottom team in West Midlands (Regional) League Division One would have clinched the championship.

But Town came from behind to win 2-1 and give their hopes of staying up a massive boost.

"Everyone was saying we needed the three points, but we didn't turn up," said Bell.

"They did and that's football.

"They are bottom of the league for a reason, so they don't play like that every week, but on the day they were the better side and won.

"They are in a relegation fight, whereas we need a point to win the league, so fair play to them.

"It was disappointing to lose against the bottom team, but if you don't play well you don't win games.

"They have got a few decent players there, but our quality didn't shine through and I suppose their desire did.

"We've got three games left and a point will pretty much see us over the line.

"Hopefully we can get three wins out of nine and enjoy the last few games."
