HINTON gained a vital point at Tenbury United to cement their position at the top of HFA County League Premier Division.

Chances were few and far between, with defences on top in the 0-0 draw.

The result means Hinton remain eight points clear of third-placed Tenbury, with the latter only having one game in hand.

Bartestree are in second place but have played four more games than Hinton.

Dave Cadwallader's side are in fine form though and have now won their last five games.

Their latest success was a 6-0 win against Hereford Lads Club thanks to two goals from Harry Waybourne.

Westfields Reserves, meanwhile, bounced back from a defeat against Lads Club by seeing off struggling Ledbury Town 4-1, while a solitary Jean Alveraz strike was enough for Holme Lacy to claim the local bragging rights against Fownhope.

Fownhope Reserves arguably claimed the result of the day after beating Division One leaders Tenbury Town 4-3.

Tenbury are still nine points clear of second-placed Hereford City, with the latter having a game in hand.

Holme Lacy Reserves – who saw off Ewyas Harold Reserves 2-0 – are third, with Wellington Colts in fourth.

On Saturday, Wellington Colts beat basement club Orleton Colts 4-0.

Elsewhere, Weobley overcame Ludlow Colts 3-1 thanks to goals from Dominic Barnes, Jarred Canning and Paul Williams.

Kingstone Rovers are still the only unbeaten team in Herefordshire and are now four points clear at the top of Division Two.

On Saturday, goals from Sam Edwards, Martyn Powell and Sean Francis were enough to beat Leominster Reserves 3-0.

Weston closed the gap on second-placed Burghill Rangers to five points thanks to a 1-0 win at Dore Valley, while a Stephen Thomas goal gave Shobdon a welcome win against Withington.

Hereford City Reserves slump back to the foot of the division, despite a creditable 3-3 draw against Bartestree Reserves.

Meanwhile, Burghill have gone three points clear at the of top the Sunday Spring B Division after a brace from Matthew Williams helped them to a 5-2 win against Ducking Stool.

Elsewhere in the division, Hay St Mary's beat Craven Arms 4-0 and Barrels overcame Roebuck 3-2.

In the only Spring A Division match to take place, Bromyard Colts saw off Shooters 4-1.
