HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle says he won't be looking to add to his squad just yet.

With the Bulls red-hot favourites to win Southern League Division One South & West, many supporters are already starting to look at next season when the club are likely to be in the Southern Premier League.

But Beadle says there's no talk of 'wrapping up the title' and just wants his team to take it one game at a time.

"It would be nice to have the open chequebook that everybody thinks we have, but we don't," said Beadle.

"We are quite tight on our budget and we've got what we've got at the moment.

"We're happy with what we've got and unless that changes, we won't be looking to change it any time soon.

"It's easy to say to get it wrapped up, but there's a long way to go.

"Yes the points gap is fairly sizeable at the moment, but if Taunton keep going with the way they are, that gap could go down to 13 or 14 points.

"There is no target or talk of 'wrapping it up', we've just got to take it one game at a time and keep taking points."

Despite only losing one league game all season, the Bulls have drawn their last two games and are eighth in the form table.

That has led to some supporters believing Hereford have been 'found out' and can be one-dimensional at times.

But Beadle disputes those claims.

"People have the right to their opinion, but I don't think we're one dimensional," said Beadle.

"We are expansive and play from the back when we can, but sometimes the pitch conditions don't allow for that.

"But we are one of the few teams that play with wide men.

"I think one dimensional is playing from the back to the front every time, but we try and mix it up."

Beadle also leapt to the defence of striker Mike Symons, who has divided opinion among supporters in recent weeks.

"Mike has been as consistent as anyone this season and he offers something different," said Beadle.

"John [Mills] gets more plaudits because of his goals, but Mike links up well with him.

"I think some people don't recognise that, but he works the channels, tracks back and sets up play.

"Plus he has got 18 or 19 goals this season, which isn't bad going.

"He has been immense for us and I don't think there there have been many games where he has played poorly."
