KNIGHTON Town made it three wins in a row in Spar Mid Wales League Division One with a comfortable 4-0 win against bottom club Montgomery Town.
Playing their first match of the New Year, the Radnor Robins were soon into their stride and scored all the goals in the first half through Connor Bird (2), Sam Williams and debutant Ieuan Crowe.
There were defeats for Radnor Valley and Hay St Mary's, the latter going down 4-2 at Aberaeron where Adi Lawford and Rob Sneddon (pen) hit the Saints’ goals.
Radnor were beaten 3-1 at Carno, George Davies scoring their consolation goal.
In Division Two, Newbridge continue to impress after goals from Alfie Stonefield, Aeron Powell and Lyndon Jones secured a 3-1 win at Four Crosses, while Matt Strangwood netted for Presteigne in their 2-1 home defeat against Abermule.
Presteigne Reserves rekindled their challenge for the Watson Financial Mid Wales League (South) title with Tom Crichton, Gareth Bull and Ryan Stokes netting in a 3-0 win at Penybont Reserves.
Hay St Mary's Reserves slipped to a shock 2-1 defeat at lowly Llandrindod Wells Reserves where a goal from Wilf Ratcliffe proved to no avail, while Knighton Town Reserves were held to a 3-3 draw by Newcastle.
Jamie Blythe, Sam Hoyle and Jack Brindley netted for Knighton.
