HINTON continued their march towards the Herefordshire FA County League Premier Division crown with a 2-0 success at Pegasus Juniors Reserves.

Matt Evans and Rod Haslam were on target for table-topping Hinton, who have won nine of their 10 league matches and are seven points ahead of second-placed Tenbury United.

Tenbury were involved in HFA Charity Bowl action and goals from Gavin Podmore (two) and Alex Lombardi gave them a 3-1 home victory against Holme Lacy in the quarter-finals.

Elsewhere in the cup competition, Bartestree romped to a 5-1 triumph against Hereford Lads Club Reserves after strikes from Adam Bendall, Mark Davies, Thomas Davies, Levi Ellis and Harry Waybourne.

Despite goals from Aaron Bowden and Richard Morgan, Leominster Town slipped to a 3-2 defeat against visiting Ewyas Harrold, while braces from Dwayne Tyndale and Jamie Welch fired Ledbury Town to a 4-2 victory at Orleton Colts.

Meanwhile, Hay St Marys suffered a 2-1 defeat against Spar Mid Wales League Division One leaders Rhayader Town. Ifan Burrell gave Rhayader the lead and Brendan Hackett levelled before Rhys Thomas pounced.
