WESTFIELDS manager Sean Edwards said it would be fantastic if his side hosted a Football League side in the second round of the FA Cup.

The Hereford side will face either Bury or AFC Wimbledon – both League One sides – at allpay.park should they beat Curzon Ashton in their first round replay on Monday.

"I just wanted a home draw, it didn't matter who we would be against," said Edwards.

"We're going up to Curzon now and hopefully we will put on a better show and will be fitter.

"And who knows, with the magic of the FA Cup, we could have another home draw in the next round."

Westfields were drawn out first during Monday evening's live draw and, should they beat Curzon Ashton, it will be the club's seventh consecutive home game in the FA Cup.

"I couldn't believe we were first out of the hat," added Edwards.

"It's incredible to have so many home games, but we've got a real tough game at Curzon now.

"Having been there to watch them and seeing the set up there, we will have to have a bit of luck and get through and potentially having another home tie."

Edwards was confident his side would hold onto their 1-0 lead against Curzon Ashton last Saturday, but a late Adam Morgan strike forced a replay.

"They had a lot of possession without really getting behind us and hurting us with the final pass," said Edwards.

"I was confident we would hold on, but fair play to Curzon, they deserved a replay and they're like us – they're into the second round draw, which is fantastic.

"We had five of our players around the ball before they scored.

"We had the luck with it hitting the post, which I was annoyed about because we had four players marking one, but the ball drops.

"It's disappointing but I couldn't have asked any more of the players.

"We had to make two or three substitutions and we couldn't really do anything about maybe bringing on an extra striker on to see if we could get another second goal."

Westfields will be running a supporters coach for Monday's match, priced at £5. The first bus is already full, but the club will be running another one if there is enough demand.
