KNIGHTON Town made it three straight wins by easing into the second round of the Spar Mid Wales League Cup with a 4-0 win at Four Crosses.

The Radnor Robins, who are gradually getting players back from injury, dominated throughout with goals from Chris Roff, Adam farmer, Sam Williams and Jack Brindley.

Presteigne are however out of the competition going down 3-1 at home against higher graded Carno

Matt Strangwood gave Presteigne the lead in first half stoppage time but the visitors hit back through Peter Rees (2) and Andy Evans.

Hay St Marys are through without kicking a ball as their opponents, Montgomery Town conceded the tie.

In the Spar First division, Radnor Valley slipped to a third straight league defeat beaten 2-1 at home by Aberaeron despite going ahead through Joey Price.

Talgarth Town maintained their lead at the top of the Watson Financial Mid Wales League (South) with a 3-1 win against previously unbeaten Presteigne Reserves.

Gareth Bull had fired Presteigne into an interval lead but Talgarth hit back through Matthew Lloyd, Harry Sharman and Kyle O’Shea.

Knighton Town Reserves made a timely return to winning ways with Jordan Griffiths, Billy Hyett and Ieuan Web on target in a 3-0 home success over St Harmon.

Kyle Harding netted a consolation for Hay St Marys Reserves in their 3-1 defeat at Penybont Reserves.
