WINGER Aidan Thomas hopes the feel-good factor at allpay.park will attract more people to watch Westfields.

The city-based side are flying this season and have won all of their games.

Their latest victory was a stunning 4-0 win over higher-graded St Ives Town in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup that sets up a home second qualifying round tie against Highgate United.

"We're playing very good football and scoring a lot of goals and not conceding many," said Thomas.

"It's good to watch and we're hoping a lot more people will come down and see what it's about."

Thomas believes there is no reason why Westfields cannot enjoy a good cup run.

They have never got past the second qualifying round, but the way they are playing at the moment, confidence is high.

"Teams from our standard have got to the first round before," said Thomas.

"It's doable and we're on fire at the minute, so I can't see why not.

"We just need to concentrate on the next round and see where we can go."

Central midfielder Craig Jones believes the current squad is the best he has seen during his time at Westfields, even better than the ones that achieved back-to-back runners-up spots.

"We've got players from goalkeeper up until the strikers who have been absolutely brilliant and scoring goals every game," said Jones, who missed the end of last season with a hamstring injury.

"The confidence right now is brilliant.

"You can't get carried away with it, but we've got to start believing that we can do something special.

"We've beaten a team two divisions above us, but we've got to take very game as it comes to us now.

"Edo [manager Sean Edwards] has recruited really well and [coach] Andy Bevan has been a great boost for us.

"Towards the end of last season, we probably didn't know how we were setting up and what our game plan was, but now everyone knows what their job is in the team.

"It's helped Sean as well because he can oversee everything.

"From the minute we got here on July 1, everyone has bought into what we want to do.

"The squad we've got now is the best we've had for many years."
