WELLINGTON lost 1-0 to AFC Bridgnorth in West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division on Tuesday night.

The defeat keeps Welly in second place, but they have played more games than most sides around them.

Derek Williams' side went into the game on the back of a 2-0 win against Dudley Sports.

Ben Thomas opened the scoring when he headed home Matt Williams' corner before Andy Price double the lead.

Jo Davies later hit a post before returning striker Josh Hunt failed to finish good chances.

Welly took their foot off the pedal in the second half, but managed to keep a clean sheet.

Pegasus Juniors are now 10th in the division following the midweek matches.

The Old School Lane outfit beat Bewdley Town 3-2 last Saturday thanks to a hat-trick from Cory Hyde.

Hereford Lads Club continue to score goals for fun in Division One, with their latest win being a 7-0 hammering of St Martins.

Tom Harding scored two of the goals, with Jamie Cuthbertson, Kalum Wildig, Tom Dawson, Dan Herbert and Zac Sirrell also netting.

Kington Town drew 3-3 with Shenstone Pathfinders; Sam Mayglothling (2) and Joe Mayglothling scoring for Kington, while Bromyard Town lost 1-0 to Darlaston Town.
