TWO Sunday League teams were forced to walk down the A49 after finding only one pitch available at the Hereford Leisure Centre.
Four sides had turned up – and changed – but there were only enough facilities for Cosmos to entertain Rosey Athletic. An Ashley Nelder hat-trick ensured Cosmos won 5-0 in Central Division clash.
Burghill and the Barrels made the short walk to Widemarsh Common to find a pitch after discovering they could not be accommodated inside the racecourse.
Burghill won the match 3-2.
Elsewhere, Vaga beat Collets Green 3-0, while in the Northern Division, Bromyard Colts thrashed Roebuck 7-1, Shooters overcame Craven Arms 4-1 and White Lion beat the Ducking Stool 3-0.
