HEREFORD FC manager Pete Beadle has admitted he is looking to sign a winger before the season starts.
The Bulls are light in that area following the departure of Mustapha Bundu and Sirdic Grant and only Ross Staley is the naturally gifted winger in the squad.
One player who could fill that role is Jamal Lawrence, who was with Cheltenham Town last year.
Lawrence is the nephew of former England cricketer David "Syd" Lawrence and trained with Hereford this week.
"He has got good pedigree, so we will see how it goes," said Beadle.
"We are quite strong in the middle of the park, but a bit light in the wide areas.
"We have got Ross and, although there are other players who can play there, they are not naturally gifted wingers.
"So we're lacking in that area and we're always on the look-out to see if we can strengthen a little bit.
"But we're in no rush and will take our time to see who are the right ones to bring in."
