THE newly formed Herefordshire Football Association County League will be offering all teams free entry into the league next season.
The decision is a key part of the league’s aim of reducing costs for teams and follows the three year sponsorship deal agreed with Supercraft Structures Ltd of Shobdon.
The sponsorship, the HFA say, will be used to help reduce the costs to the teams and the league are also working on providing additional benefits to teams and players who want to participate, including the use of two free match balls.
The league will also be implementing an on-line player registration system thanks to a pilot scheme arranged through the Football Association, with the aim of communicating key messages directly with players.
Teams have until Sunday, June 26 to register their interest.
“The County League is an opportunity to improve standards with the aim of making participation more enjoyable," said HFA chief executive Jim Lambert.
"Reducing costs will also assist new teams to start up.”
The league would welcome applications from newly formed teams.
