KINGTON Town's Tom Parry knows the supporters deserves to see the club play as high as they possibly can.

The Mill Street club had real ambitions of achieving back-to-back promotions, but finished seventh in West Midlands (Regional) League Division One.

"We are building towards next season already and start pre-season a bit early to get a good group of players together.

"The set up here is fantastic are are really looking forward to promotion next season, that's the aim.

"As you can see from the fan base we have got here, they deserve to be seeing Kington playing as high as we can and I really do believe we can."

Parry has been in prolific form recently and scored Kington's solitary goal in a 4-1 home loss against Wednesfield that completed their league campaign.

"I just love scoring goals, that's what I'm in the team to do and, if I can do that, then I am helping the team," said Parry.

Kington are still in two semi-finals – they face St Martins in the League Cup this Saturday and they also have a date against Radnor Valley in the last four of the Otway Cup.

"Our aim is to go and win them both, anything else is a failure," admitted Parry.

"In the first half [against Wednesfield], they were much better than us and we were awful.

"But it shouldn't be an end-of-season mentality, especially with the cup games coming up.

"We just didn't get it together, I think their midfield runner was too much for us.

"The second half was much better, we changed things around a bit and put me and Miles Langford in centre-midfield.

"There were a bit more legs and it went a bit better."
