BROMYARD Town striker Josh Weatherby says he is looking forward to playing against Hereford FC next week.

The two sides lock horns in the quarter-finals of the HFA County Challenge Cup on Tuesday, with the semi-final draw taking place two days later.

"Hopefully we'll have everyone back pushing for positions and it'll be a big game," said Weatherby.

"There should be a lot of people there so it should be good."

Weatherby has moved upfront from the left-side of midfield, but says he is enjoying his new position.

"It's been a change of position for me, I am usually on the left wing, but I've been scoring a few lately since playing upfront and I like it up there," he said.

Weatherby scored twice against Malvern Town last Saturday, but could not prevent his side from slipping to a 6-3 defeat.

"We got ourselves back in the game, it was kind of a fluke goal but the keeper, but I got a header again and everything went to pot," said Weatherby.

"We put three at the back and the goals kept going in and in and in.

"Both teams were at it, but they wanted it more and that is why I think we won."

Bromyard have scored seven goals in their last two league games, but have nothing to show for their efforts.

"We do score a lot of goals but it's just our defending.

"Hopefully we'll sort it out soon and beat the big teams get ourselves back up the table."

Nick Smith stepped into the manager's position this season after being Martin Stephens' number two during the promotion-winning campaign last year.

Weatherby said he enjoys playing for Smith.

"He's encouraged us a lot and gets us to play a bit," said Weatherby.

"Hopefully we can get him a few more points because we deserved to be up there."
