WELLINGTON Reserves have narrowed the gap at the top of the Hereford Times Herefordshire Football League Premier Division to five points after beating leaders Tenbury United 3-1.

Nick Britton, Richard Morgan and Thomas Peachey all netted for Welly, who have three games in hand of Tenbury.

Fownhope have cemented their place in third thanks to a 3-0 away win at bottom club Ledbury Town.

Elliot Jones, Joe Price and Philip Spencer were Fownhope's scorers.

The games between Hinton and Lads Club Reserves and Westfields Reserves and against Pegasus Reserves were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

Woofferton took advantage of Holme Lacy's game against Kingstone Harriers being called off by hammering Tupsley 9-2 and going three points clear at the top of Division One.

Marian Jusko led the way with four goals, with Simon Bradley, Jack Pound, Luke Pugh, Nathan Scott and Darren Bradley also scoring.

Elsewhere, Orleton Colts beat Sinkums 4-3, a victory that earns them this week's team of the week award, while Wellington Colts drew 1-1 with Bromyard.

Leominster Town Colts have gone top of Division Two on goal difference after goals from Nathan Coles, Joe Murphy and Mervyn Stephens saw them beat Bartestree Reserves 3-1.

Civil Service, who are second, did not play, but Hereford City, who are third, beat Dore Valley 2-0; Jake Gummery and David Wheadon with the goals.

Weobley are a point further adrift in fourth after two Chad Canning goals saw them beat Burghill 2-1.

After beating Withington 14-0 in their previous game, Kington Town Reserves had to make do with just the four goals against the same opponents this week.

Ricky Dyer netted a brace in the 4-0 win, with Stephen Caple and Ryan Newton also on target.
