SIX Girls who have attended the Herefordshire Football Association's Play Development Centre (PDC) have made the next step on the female talent pathway by joining Centres of Excellence.

Grace Saveker, Ffion David and Anna Craig are part of the Under-13 section of West Bromwich Albion's Ladies Centre of Excellence, while Freya Owen and Katie Clarke have hooked up with their Under-15's.

Also make the next step on the Female Talent Pathway is Emily Griffiths, who has joined Bristol Ladies Academy's Under-17's after successfully completing a trial.

Grace, Ffion, Freya, Katie and Emily all previously played for Hereford Lads Club Girls, while Anna was part of the Ross Juniors set up.

All had been attending the HFA's Girls PDC for at least to years.

The HFA's PDC is a centre for Under-11, Under-13 and Under-15 age groups and offers a step on the female talent pathway for girls who play within school and grassroots clubs and sits below the FA Centre of Excellence Programme.

The Centre resumes on September 11 when the three week trials begin, in advance of the 21 week coaching sessions taking place at Hereford Academy.

The cost of the trials is £15 for the three weeks, with the coaching sessions being priced at £75.

Meanwhile, the Herefordshire Schools Football Association (HSFA) have got two voluntary positions available for the forthcoming season.

The Under-16 Girls Representative Team Manager and assistant manager will be required to establish a squad of players to fulfill the six matches as part of the Midland Counties Schools Football Federation League and liaise with the Schools Football Co-Ordinator.
