A COUNTY woman says she will not know which team to support when Westfields lock horns with Hereford in the eagerly-awaited derby on Monday.

Pat Morrow will be one of the near 2,000 fans who will be packed inside allpay.park for the Bank Holiday Monday encounter.

But unlike the majority of the supporters, Pat is not sure whether to cheer for Pete Beadle's Bulls or the claret and blue of Westfields.

"I don't know who I'm going to support and I think I will have to stay absolutely neutral," said Pat.

"Never in a million years did I think they would be playing each other in a league game and it will be quite strange.

"I just want both teams to do well this season and it would be good if one finishes first and the other second.

"But which one finishes first and which one second I don't know.

"I think the ideal scenario would be a draw on Monday."

Pat has been supporting Hereford since 1965, with her first game being against Oxford United.

"A friend and I lived in Cotterell Street and we were walking down Edgar Street on a cold night when we heard this noise coming out of the ground and and thought we would go in.

"Another friend then started coming and we became fundraisers which we did for many years.

"But about 10 years ago I started going to Westfields games because they are a very well run club and I can't travel to Hereford away matches.

"Andy Morris got the Midland Football League to alternate the days Westfields were playing so it didn't clash with Hereford home games but there have been times when they did play at the same time and I would go to Westfields in the first half and in the second half go to Hereford."

The Bulls are not in action this Saturday, but Westfields are home to Kidsgrove Athletic in the preliminary round stage of the Emirates FA Cup.

Lining up for Westfields on Monday will be former Hereford United midfielder Craig Jones, while ex-Westfields players Joel Edwards and Sam Gwynne could both start for Hereford.

Jones says he cannot wait for the game and would love to score the winning goal.

"The atmosphere will be great, but the main thing is for us to win on Saturday to set us up for Monday," said Jones.

"But everyone knows that we want to beat them and they want to beat us.

"Their fans have been giving me a bit of stick, saying that I'm not good enough, so it would be good if I came up with the winner.

"But it's no different than any other game and we've got to forget what is happening of the pitch and treat it like any other game."

Kick-off is 3pm.
