Two goals from Ashley Griffiths and one each from Jack Brazier and Mark Rusling saw Town, who finished bottom last season in the Premier Division, beat Lads Club Reserves 4-2. The win comes on the back of a 1-0 success against Tenbury United; Andy Bowden scoring the winning goal.

securing a fine 1-0 win against Tenbury United.

Wellington Reserves are second after Nick Britton's hat-trick earned them a 5-0 win against Hinton on Tuesday night, with Dean Price and Matthew Williams grabbing the other goals. Welly drew their opening game against Orleton 1-1.

A sublime 25-yard free-kick from Will Caswell gave Orleton a first-half lead and they could have gone further in front after Nathan Hardisty and Simon Milsl both went close.

But Wellington rallied after the break and levelled on the hour-mark through substitute Nick Britton.

The away side had chances to win the game, but found Orleton goalkeeper Kelvin Thomas and man-of-the-match Tom George in inspired form.

Hinton won their opening game 3-2 against Fownhope thanks to a winning penalty from Rod Haslam.

Fownhope led 2-1 at the break after Eliot Jones and Ryan Rowlett both netted but Hinton levelled through Mike Marsden before Haslam won it from 12 yards.

Reigning champions Ewyas Harold opened their campaign with a 1-0 win against Westfields Reserves as they try to claim three league titles in a row.

Jamie Welch scored twice for Ledbury Town but it was not enough as Lads Club Reserves held on for a 3-2 win.

The Hereford side opened the scoring through a Rhys Davies header before Tom Burroughs doubled their advantage thanks to an excellent 30-yard shot.

But Welch slotted home to reduce the arrears before half time and levelled matters after the break.

However, Lads Club went on to win the game thanks to a bullet header from Scott Jones from Zak Turner's corner.

"The work rate was brilliant, especially with nine players out and six players making their debuts," said Lads Club manager Leon Cooke.

"It is the best and biggest win since I became manager."
