Goals from Julie Nicholas, Sarah Phipps and Kate Price saw the ladies beat Cookley Sports 3-1 to lift the Bill Allsopp Memorial Cup at Evesham United's Jubilee Stadium, while the under-16s overcame Hereford Lads 3-0 to take home the Gloucestershire League Cup.

Bartestree Ladies saw Sophie Stubbs break her arm in the first few minutes of the game, but she insisted on staying to cheer her team on.

They took the lead when a long-range shot from Nicholas dipped into the net.

The Herefordshire side then enjoyed the lion's share of possession, due in no small part to the ball-winning qualities of their tough-tackling captain Gemma Smillie.

Bartestree weathered an early storm at the start of the second half and doubled the lead when Cookley's goalkeeper could only help Sarah Phipps' flick into the net.

A well-worked Cookley free-kick saw the Worcestershire side reduce the arrears, but Bartestree's nerves were eased when speedy winger Kate Price calmly slotted home to secure the win. Bartestree manager Paul Gough said his team deserved the win, while Smillie, who was joint player of the match along with Price, said she was very proud of her team mates. Bartestree Harriers under-16s were also on the mark to complete a league and cup double. at Almondsbury.

Bartestree opened their account against Lads Club when a long free-kick was sent in by centre-back Meg Briggs.

As it dipped, Lads Club's goalkeeper jumped to maker the save, but the ball was released from her hands.

Midfielder Tinny Conway was then on hand to tap it over the line.

Kirsty Dodd-Cox then doubled the lead by neatly rounding the ball past the keeper before Alice Seymour made it 3-0.
