REHEEL Lone's four wicket-haul helped Eastnor cruise to their first Worcestershire County Cricket League Division Two game of the season against Halesowen.

Lone finished with figures of 4-23 as Halesowen were skittled out for 105.

Eastnor then only needed 19.2 overs to get the required runs, with Jack Myers finishing unbeaten on 38.

Australian opener Danny Irvine's fine knock of 76 was not enough for Brockhampton as they narrowly lost by nine wickets to Dorridge in the Premier Division.

Captain Boroughs also chipped in with 45, but Brockhampton could not reach their target.

Dorridge's total of 283 was largely due to David Ball's fantastic 144 off just 125 balls, which included 17 fours and six sixes.

Muhammed Ishtiaq (64) was the only other batsman who posted anything of note for his side, but in the end it proved enough.

Boroughs finished with figures of 4-36 on the bowling front for Brockhampton.

But there was better news for Brockhampton Ladies, who won a nail-biting game against Corse & Staunton to make it two wins out of two in the Gloucestershire T20 League.

Hannah Larkin led the side in Kate Bishop's absence and smashed the ball for four runs to ensure Brockhampton won with the last ball of the penultimate over.

Put into the field, Brockhampton took the wickets of Aileen Penman, Gill Hutchings, Tracey Newman and Alice Hutchings as Corse & Staunton posted 74-4 off their 20 overs.

But Brockhampton reached their target, with opener Lizzie Jeffryes tops coring with 26.
