WESTFIELDS crowned a successful season when their Under-18 team lifted the HFA Giantkillers Cup with a resounding 4-1 victory over Bromyard Town at Old School Lane.

Tom Bendall scored twice and Levi Ellis and Carlos Moriera added the other goals as the Under-18s followed in the footsteps of their senior side, who won the HFA County Senior Challenge Cup.

The trophies were presented by three of Hereford United’s 1972 FA?Cup giantkillers - Colin Addison, Dudley Tyler and physio Peter Isaac.

Addison said: “This was one of the best and entertaining Giantkillers finals we have had. We are proud to attend this final each year and see the development of youth football in Herefordshire.”

Meanwhile Westfields have announced a new lucrative three-year deal with their main sponsors, allpay Ltd. The Whitestone-based payment solutions company have backed the club for the past ten years.

Westfields chief executive Andy Morris said: “Tony Killeen and allpay Ltd have been superb sponsors to Westfields and we are delighted they have agreed to a new three-year deal which will see them have shirt sponsorship, perimeter board advertising and logos on the two stands at allpay.park, in addition to other benefits.

“This is a proper sponsorship transaction where we give allpay huge name awareness locally and nationally. Tony Killeen takes an active interest in the club and his company are one of the reasons we have been so successful both on and off the pitch in the past ten years.”
