WESTFIELDS have won the HFA County Challenge Cup for a fifth successive year after beating Wellington 3-1 after extra-time at a barmy Old School Lane.
The higher-graded Westfields opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time after Marcus Palmer stroked the ball home.
But Wellington had chances and were unlucky to go into the break behind.
Westfields, who did not play on Saturday after their game at Continental Star was postponed, struggled to exert their authority in the second half and it was Wellington who played the better football.
Their efforts were rewarded 14 minutes from time when Paul Jones expertly curled the ball home.
But Wellington's joy turned to dispair when Matt Williams was sent off for allegedly raising his hands moments after his team scored.
Westfields then went in front five minutes into extra-time after Tom Bendall flicked the ball home from close range before Craig Jones sealed the win at the death.
