BARTESTREE had goalkeeper Jon Hopkins to thank as they came away from Worcester Raiders with a 2-2 draw in West Midlands (Regional) League Division One
The villagers opened the scoring when Adam Bednall put the ball into an empty net from 40 yards out, but saw Worcester equalise direct from a free-kick. Bartestree were then awarded a penalty, which was successfully dispatched by captain Hibbard. But Worcester came back strongly after and again levelled the match.
Bartestree then had goalkeeper Jon Hopkins to thank, who pulled off a number of fine saves to keep the home side out.
The Herefordshire side are in cup action on Wednesday when they travel to Trysull in the quarter-finals of the League Cup. The final will be played at Villa Park, home to Aston Villa.
