BROMYARD Town assistant manager Nick Smith knows his team must regain their form if they to win the West Midlands (Regional) League Division One title.

Town have lost their last three games in all competitions and failed to break down a resilient Hereford Lads Club side last Saturday.

The Delahay Meadow side have led the division all season, but are now only a point clear of second placed St Martins, although they do have a game in hand.

Bromyard are next in action next Saturday against Shenstone Pathfinders before facing Penncroft.

Their game in game is on Wednesday, April 15, when they entertain Wyrley.

"We've got to push on next week against Shenstone Pathfinders, so hopefully we can get the points we need," said Smith.

"We've hit a pocket again, like we did at Christmas, and have lost three games now.

"So we need to re-group and hopefully can get back to winning ways."

Bromyard crashed out of the Smedley Crooke Memorial Trophy 6-3 to Highgate after extra time just three days before playing Lads Club.

Smith felt his team struggled with the back-to-back games.

"We are a strong enough side, but the lads struggled because we played extra-time last Wednesday and had the opportunity to win the game with a minute to go," said Smith.

"We just didn't get started and couldn't break them down.

"We were leggy from playing Highgate and you could see there were three or four players that were just lethargic and not working hard enough.

"We didn't deserve anything at the end of the day."

Smith also praised Lads Club goalkeeper Steve Bell, who pulled off a number of excellent saves.

"The last time we played them at their ground, their goalkeeper pulled off about five or six world class saves and he did the same again," said Smith.

"There was a volley kick from Dorian Collins that he saved.

"He was very good."
