WELLINGTON Colts have earned this week’s Hereford Times Herefordshire Football League Team of the Week gone after overcoming inform Holme Lacy 3-0 in Division 1.

Holme Lacy went into the game having scored 21 goals in their previous two games, but they had no answer to Colts who have closed the game to fourth-placed Lacy to four points.

EBromyard have increased their lead at the top after thrashing Bartestree Reserves 10-1, while Fownhope Reserves beat Hinton Reserves 5-2 thanks to goals from Curtis Bounds, Ryan Bounds, Rylan Rowlett, Sam Lewis and Daniel James.

With Ewyas Harold’s game falling victim to the weather, Wellington Rangers took full advantage after beating Tenbury United 2-1; Wellington’s goals coming from Nick Britton and Nick Panniers.

The only other top-flight game saw Pegasus Reserves beat Orleton Colts 3-0 thanks to goals from Lewis Moseley, Ruairdh Woodland and Mark Rusling.

Sinkums increased their lead at the top of Division 2 after overcoming Kingstone Rovers 1-0; while Alex Bright and Adam Everall notched a pair apiece in Tenbury Town’s 4-2 win against Kingstone Harriers.

Due to withdrawals in the league and some teams having almost completed their fixtures, the league’s committee have instigated a supplementary competition.

It will include all Division 2 teams except Kington Town Reserves and Tenbury Town, who have a significant number of games still to play.

Each team will face each other once,, with teams either playing three home and two away games or vice versa.

The top four teams will then progress to the semi-finals, with the first-placed team facing the team finishing fourth and the second and third-placed finishers squaring off.

The teams finishing first and second will have home advantage in the semi-finals, with penalty shoot-outs being awarded if extra time cannot determine a winner.

The final being will then be played at a neutral ground.

Meanwhile, Dan Ramshaw-Evans struck twice as Leominster Town Reserves secured a fantastic 2-1 away win at Division 3 leaders Dore Valley.

Leominster goalkeeper Nick King also pulled off a fantastic save to deny Dore Valley, with Joe Griffiths performed admirably at left-back.

Elsewhere, Ledbury Colts beat Tupsley 4-1 and Northwood Rangers overcame Orleton Colts Reserves 6-4.
