MISSED chances cost Wellington when they were held to a 1-1 by lowly Shifnal Town in the West Midlands League Premier Division.
Shifnal's defence was strong but the Herefordshire side were not at their best in the first half when Ben Fischer, Aaron Morgan and Paul Jones all missed good chances.
When Andy Price missed a header and a shot from four yards, it didn't look like Wellington's day, especially when the home team scored right on half-time from a corner.
Wellington kept the home team camped in their own half in the second half after going to three at the back and three up front .
Paul Jones side-footed straight at the keeper and Josh Hunt went on good runs but failed to finish before the equaliser finally arrived 10 minutes from the end.
Dave Price pulled the ball back and Ben Fischer was able to side-foot home.
Bartestree were without a game in Division One but Bromyard Town have gone seven points clear at the top after a 2-1 win at St Martins.
