CHRONIC availability problems meant Pegasus Juniors went to Shawbury missing 19 players.

The shortage meant the city side couldn't name anyone on the bench, forcing manager Chris Hyde to put himself forward as a substitute, despite not having played for many years.

Despite the lack of options, which meant Pegasus couldn't field a striker, the visitors held their opponents at 0-0 until well into the second half of the West Midlands Premier Division clash.

Two late goals, however, sunk Pegasus, although Hyde was far from downbeat.

"I can't fault the players at all," said Hyde, who didn't bring himself on.

"They were fantastic and it was a great performance."

He said the unavailability was a mix of injury, work commitments and holiday, adding none of those missing were suspended.

"We lose three this weekend through suspension, but we should have at least three returning," he said, adding he is on the lookout for players.

It was a different story for Wellington, meanwhile, who were in top form as they secured a 2-0 win at Dudley Sports.

Dudley started the game well with Wellington goalkeeper Chris Mancui performing well to keep the scoreline goalless.

At the other end, Ben Fischer went close before Luke Winter almost scored with a chip.

Wellington began to get a foothold in the game after the break with Andy Price and Josh Hunt performing well in midfield.

On 68 minutes Sam Archer played in Winter who beat his defender and, with the goalkeeper approaching, hit the ball in the top corner of the net.

Wellington had further chances with Hunt and Paul Jones going close before Jones latched on to a through ball to double the score with a low drive.
