BRIMFIELD boss Duncan Morris said missed chances were key to his side losing against Bromyard.

“In the second half we should have scored three or four goals and we missed the chances,” said Morris.

“We were penalised.

"They came back in the game and in the end I decided to make my changes.

“By the time I made my last substitution the referee blew his whistle so I couldn’t use everybody.”

Morris however was pleased with how his team performed.

"I was very pleased for the first 80 minutes of football," said

“We have lost three players to Woofferton and one to Orleton and that will take some re-building,” said Morris.

“But I’ve got new players who have come into the fold and those players are starting to do what I want."

Brimfield was formed from Woofferton Colts two years ago and currently lie fifth in the Hereford Times Herefordshire Football League Division One table.

Morris said the team is currently re-building and would be happy with a mid-table finish this season.

"We lost three players to Woofferton and one to Orleton and that has taken some re-building," said Morris.

"But we are getting there.

"Against Bromyard, if we had taken our chances in the second half, it would have been a different scoreline and shown that the re-building is going well.

"I have got new players that have come in to the fold and they are starting to do what I want.

"I would like to finish mid-table like last year, so if we can finish fifth or sixth I would be perfectly happy."
