ON-loan Hereford United striker Nathaniel Lewars fired a hat-trick as Westfields romped to a 7-0 win against Rocester in the Midland Football League Premier Division.

And fellow loanee Deqwon Banks was also on target as Fields moved up to third in the table in front of a crowd of 151 at allpay.park.

Lewars opened the scoring with a 20-yarder before Banks headed in a Sam Gwynne cross to give Westfields a 2-0 half-time lead.

Lewars added a third in the 50th minute with Zac Sirrell, Craig Jones and Dean Lee also on target as the home side took complete control.

Lewars scored from the penalty spot in the closing stages to complete his treble.

The win followed on from a 3-0 success at Tipton Town the previous Wednesday.

Joel Edwards gave Fields an early lead but the visitors had to wait until the 83rd minute when Dan Polan rifled home a tremendous shot.

Two minutes from the end, Lewars rounded off the scoring with a fine finish from 12 yards.

In the West Midlands League Premier Division, Pegasus Juniors returned from Bridgnorth with a point after a goalless draw.

Chances were hard to find in the first half when Danny Hill had a shot cleared off the line and then was denied by home keeper Chris Cook.

Jason Pike hit the outside of a post in the second period when excellent work by Juniors defenders Kane Kahaki and Mark Davies ensured a clean sheet.

A stoppage-time own goal deprived Wellington of a deserved point in a 1-0 defeat at high-flying Ellesmere.

With Wellington looking set for a draw, a cross deflected in off Scott Reed to beat Chris Maciu in the visitors' goal.

Earlier, Aaron Morgan, Dave Price and Will Burley all failed with good openings while, after the goal, Josh Hunt was denied by an excellent save.

Ledbury Town remain rock-bottom of Division One after an 8-1 home pounding by Trysull.
