WELLINGTON stormed back from a half-time deficit to gain the 2-1 win which moves them back into the West Midlands League Premier Division top 10.

The home defence, which had Joe Lerner deputising for the injured Will Burley, held firm in the early stages but Willenhall went ahead on 25 minutes when a free-kick was converted at the back post.

After the goal, Wellington had much the better of the remainder of the first period but were unable to break through.

Aaron Morgan, who had gone close twice in the first half, was out of luck again just after the break when he shot inches wide after being put through by Gareth Thomas.

With 20 minutes remaining, Dave Price delivered the cross for Ben Thomas to head the equaliser.

And then, in the 82nd minute, Andy Price's pass allowed Josh Hunt to fire in the winner.

In the closing stages, Wellington keeper Dan Manciu pulled off one good save but the defence, with Sam Archer-Plane in man-of-the-match form, held firm.

In Division One, Bromyard Town maintained their perfect start with a 6-0 win over Bustleholme to go three points clear at the head of the table.

Lads Club player-boss Danny Moon blasted a hat-trick to ensure a 3-0 win over Wem Town.

Moon opened the scoring with a long-range volley but Lads Club keeper Steve Bell preserved the lead when he saved a penalty and smothered the rebound.

Moon extended the lead early in the second period with a header from a fine Ritchie Maturi cross and completed his treble near the end with another long-distance effort.

Ledbury Town remain at the foot of the table after a 6-1 reverse at Wrens Nest.
