PEGASUS Juniors are through to the second round qualifying of the FA VAse after a 3-0 success at Wellington Amateurs.

Although Juniors were weakened by injuries and lack of availability, they turned in a strong team display with three excellent goals.

They took the lead on nine minutes when Sam Pearson controlled Kiea Cowley's cross before sending a shot on the turn from 12 yards flashing into the net.

Anthony Robbins extended the lead on 32 minutes with a brilliant piece of opportunism, spotting keeper Vitor Pinheiro off his line and lobbing home from the half-way line.

The third goal came three minutes after the break when Julio DaMata and Robbins released Cowley to cross for Ben Price to net with a fine volley.

Westfields suffered a third straight defeat when they were beaten 3-2 at Quorn in a Midland Football League Premier Division game thanks to a Dom Brennan goal a minute from time.

Fields took the lead when Joel Edwards and Tom Boyle set up Robert Drag to fire home at the far post.

But a blunder by James Febery let in Jacob Wright to level the scores almost immediately.

The visitors regained the lead when Jamie Cuss side-footed in a Boyle cross and almost went further ahead when an Edwards shot hit the bar.

Five minutes after the break, Sam Gwynne failed to clear and Liam Reid blasted home another gift equaliser.

Then a minute from the end, Brennan followed up to score after Matt Gwynne saved well from Reid.
