FIRST-half goals from player-manager Danny Moon and Kalum Wildig ensured a winning start for Lads Club in their West Midlands League Division One home clash with Shenstone Pathfinders.

Matt Maturi had a shot cleared off the line before Moon broke the deadlock by heading in a Josh Pugh free-kick midway through the first half.

Moon also had a key role in the second goal, providing the pass for Wildig to lash in a 25-yard drive which gave the keeper no chance.

In the second half, only a succession of excellent saves from the Shenstone keeper prevented Lads Club from adding to their tally.

Dan Herbert enjoyed a four-goal debut for Bartestree, who shared 10 goals in a 5-5 draw at Team Dudley.

Tom Harding scored the other Bartestree goal.

Ledbury Town's new management duo of Zac Blood and Pete Boyle failed to get the start they were looking for when the New Street side suffered a 3-1 home defeat by Penncroft.

Joshua Carvel rounded Ledbury's birthday-boy keeper Nicholas Blakeway to open the scoring but Town were quickly back on level terms through Craig Kitchener who headed in a Blood corner.

Carvel, however, shot Penncroft back in front before the interval and went on to complete his hat-trick in the 75th minute.
