THREE Herefordshire officials have been honoured in the FA Carlsberg Referee Awards for 2012-13.
Sharleen Watkins, Kevin Morris and Trevor Clarke have all received presentations under the awards, which are designed to recognise and reward volunteers such as referee mentors, coaches, tutors, assessors and referees.
At a Herefordshire FA Referees Seminar at Hereford United FC, Sharleen Watkins received the Women Referee Award for outstanding performance and contribution while Kevin Morris and Trevor Clarke were honoured for their outstanding contribution to refereeing.
The awards were presented by Steve Tanner, referee development officer at Gloucestershire FA and a former FA Premier League and FIFA Referee.
“These awards are well deserved and were voted by their refereeing colleagues in Herefordshire,” said Sean Dipple, Herefordshire FA’s referee development officer, who arranged the evening.
