HEREFORD racecourse is to fully reopen this October.
Jump racing under rules stopped at the track in 2012 after lease holders Arena and Northern Racing deemed it unviable.
But it has been confirmed tonight that four fixtures will take place this year.
Thursday, October 6
Monday, October 31
Wednesday, November 23
December 19
Punters will be able to purchase tickets for the meetings from Tuesday, May 3.
Hereford Racecourse have also announced that the first 2016 tickets sold for the October 6 meeting will be issued with a free drinks voucher.
The news has been greeted with delight across the racing world.

Hereford Racecourse was opened in 1771, but on July 27, 2012, it was announced that it would close.
As reported by the Hereford Times here, Arena Leisure and Northern Racing decided that the course, owned by Herefordshire Council, was no longer viable, ending 241 years of history.
The final thoroughbred meeting was staged on December 16, 2012, but the course continued to be used for Arabian racing.
Point-to-point meetings have also been held at the course during the past two years.
