CHRIS Boroughs and Will Rudge were Herefordshire’s leading players with bat and ball respectively in a disappointing Minor Counties Championship campaign.
Skipper Boroughs topped the county’s batting averages with 439 runs at 43.90.
He also hit the club’s top individual score of 135 and was among only two Herefordshire players – Daniel Bassett being the other - to register a championship century.
Rudge topped the bowling averages with 14 wickets at 18.78 before he left the club to have trials with Kent.
Colwall left-arm spinner Charlie Griffiths was the county’s top wicket-taker with 17 victims, at an average of 24, in his maiden campaign for Herefordshire.
Griffiths claimed two five-wicket hauls and was the only Herefordshire bowler to take 10 wickets in a match.
Faisal Shahid (14 wickets) and Andy Sutton (11 wickets) reached double figures.
Ben Stebbings (323 runs at 29.36) was Herefordshire’s second leading run-scorer, while Dave Exall hit 320 runs at 40.
Veteran Harshad Patel, who has made 99 appearances for the club, was second in the batting averages with 217 runs at 43.40.
Boroughs, Exall and Stebbings were the only Herefordshire players to feature in all six of the club’s championship matches.
