BURGHILL & Tillington make their Crusader Worcestershire County League debut with a trip to Barnards Green 3rd in Division 4 South.
The villagers have joined the Worcestershire League after finishing runners-up in Division 1 of the Marches League last term.
Burghill skipper Neil Box said: "We have been very lucky to have secured the services again of last year's Marches League Player-of-the-Year, Alex Hedges."
The 26-year-old left-handed batsman from New Zealand scored 896 league runs last year at a staggering average of 149.33.
Box added: "I expect Kingsley Morris to be as dependable as ever and hope that Matt Biggs, Ed Oliver and John Terry continue with their improvement. We would like to secure promotion in our first season but we know there are some good sides in the division.” Burghill are joining two other Herefordshire sides - Ross-on-Wye and Canon Frome - who made their debuts in Division 4 South last season.
